Good Afternoon fellow curiousers! Today I'm writing this piece from the good Ol' Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix Arizona because I missed my flight. It all started when I decided to opt out of the radiation machine at the check point and had to wait for an available female officer to perform a full-on pet down session! Only to find out radiation from Japan has now been detected in my city, the city of LA. Normally, I prefer to be in and out of cities but this time i had an extra day to stroll down central ave and automatic make a stop at my favorite place, The Phoenix Art Museum, there I attended the Ann Bonfoey Taylor Fashion Independent exhibition and also ran into my favorite painter/sculptor Hector Ruiz. Ann was a magnificent woman of the 20th century. Those who are more than slightly familiar with her life know that she was already flying planes as a teenager and inspiring fashion trends everywhere. Her Couture Wardrobe and Personally designed Sporting accessories constantly made the pages of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar during the mid-century era, and now many of these fantastic pieces are available for viewing at the Art museum. There's so much good stuff that I have to split this article into two parts or maybe Three. Here is Part 1, BOGNER Ski/Snowboard Helmets: On the very Top Row are Ann's vintage Bogner Helmets and Visors which are dressed in fabric for a fashion statement. From what I heard she also had some with feathers that used to blown on her face when going down the slope, but she didn't care because at least she looked fly, my kinda girl. And right bellow the vintage are photos of the new generation over the top Swarovski Studded Crystograph Titan Edition. Since, Snowboarding season is almost over, this is the time to start saving your pretty pennies for this baby because this Bogner helmet with 20,000 Swarovski Crystals comes at the price of 19,000 dollars. But it is a very fancy thing, huh. 1 Comment Perfect Timing. 02/25/2011
My time has always been very valuable to me because everything revolves around timing. If you've got no time for the things you want to pursue or the ones close to you then you're definitely missing out on life. Through decades wristwatches have been a part of fashion statements for it's multi-functionality. Take the calculator, chronometers, and waterproof capabilities for an example. Those functions were the catalyst of the "Apps" of the old World. I personally collect vintage watches from the 20's before Timex monopolized the industry. Most of my watches come to my possession already broken, it's my own personal statement to remind myself not to be caught by the boundaries of time and that I can make time if I want to. Right around December, I stumbled into an old friend from College I had not spoken with in 12 years, Cedric King, and he got me hipped to Azad Watches. I'm a very low maintenance woman and the material things I always want are normally musical equipment, but for the first time in a while, I felt stunned by an expensive piece of jewelry and I am not embarrassed to say: I wanna have it! Nonetheless, AZAD means Freedom in Farsi, and to me that is the perfect description of what time really means to the ones that know how to be one with the Alchemistic elements. To find out where you can get it click here for Cedric King's facebook page. I've said too much let it speak for itself: Chose your Chemistry.. 12/08/2010

Yesterday, I went to the Farmer's Market on Sunset and ran into Hines Buchaman (Project Blowed and the A-Team) and Justin Bua. With all these handsome, talented men hanging around Silverlake, no wonder the girls on the block dress so fashionable just to go to the market. It was then that the idea to give Street Credit to fellow Fashionistas came to surfice. Turns out that unbeknownst to me, the first person that I felt deserved credit was Irish model and musician Kojii Helnwein from Models of the Runway. When I got home , I googled her name and it looks like she is not only beautiful but also super talented. Kudos to Silverlake fashion. There are people in life that you might have never met but you feel like somehow they took a trip inside your head, something resembling the state of mind that gave birth to the settings of Being John Malkovich. I have always felt that Alexander McQueen was that person to me. My theory is that this ability of seeing into a woman's heart can and has been, in this case, passed on through osmosis. Early this year , after the great Alexander McQueen abruptly left us, his former assistant Sarah Burton was chosen to carried on his legacy. I believe she has heard my wishes when she made me Fall in love with this Fall collection full of Laces, Pleats and elegant daring patterns. Needless to say more, Fashion moves Forward. I will always love you Alexander. What's up Doc? 50 years of Dr. Martens 10/15/2010

This first blog started as a request by a friend. Those of you who have had the courage of riding in my whip during the summer have also seeing my driving gloves. I'm not trying to look cute, I have a perfectly good explanation for them, as i have for every strange thing I do. My 350 Z came equiped with a short shifter made of metal, when it's hot out it burns the tips of my fingers. I could just as easily cover it with a towel, but then I really wanted to look cute with my vintage gloves on.
